Acers, beautiful Acers. The colours of Autumn.
Golden carpets. The gardener is happy to enjoy this moment. Clearing leaves is not on her mind.
Roses are in abundance.
Astonishingly beautiful.
I have never known a year like it.
The incredibly mild October has suited them.
What a bonus for the gardener.
Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteYour garden is way ahead of mine in leaf drop. Not so much color here either. We had a couple of near freezes this week. Lots of light frost but no beautiful roses to look at. I need to find some that will take some shade. I love them and yours are so gorgeous. Are you packed yet? At least your list is made out. Fun....
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa,
DeleteIt is wonderful walking through the village at the moment. The gardens are full of roses. Roses do flower in October but I have never known them so floriferous and looking so healthy.
I remember they had a piece on roses, growing in shade, on Gardeners World during the Summer. Ramblers of course will but then they work their way up to reach the sun. I have several in the garden but you have to be brave to plant ramblers I think. They look stunning growing up a tree.
Packed:))
Hopefully soon.
Have a lovely weekend my friend.
Roses are blooming at work and smelling really very sweet
ReplyDeleteDon't they just smell beautiful Simon:)
DeleteThey look beautiful, I can smell them in my mind.

A bonus for the gardener and also her blog readers. Lovely, Cheryl. Just lovely.
ReplyDeleteAmazing photos, beautiful blog.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy weekend

A beautiful time of year DIMI
DeleteBeautiful roses! I am not really a rose gardener, but I do have a few Knockouts which are appreciating the cooler temperatures here. As pretty as the roses are, I just love your Japanese maples! Surprisingly, we have had very few leaves falling yet, and the trees are just beginning to turn. I suspect that will change soon, as we have had several frosts. Not much left blooming in my garden now other than a few hardy perennials.
ReplyDeleteI can remember a time Rose, where I could take or leave roses.
DeleteOver the last few years I have fallen in love with them.
They are becoming a feature of this garden.
Acers are a firm favourite with me.
I have planted two this year. They are very small, so I hope they will be okay.
Such beautiful colours in the Acers and the fallen leaves.
ReplyDeleteYour roses are stunning, such lovely colours … enjoy them and your garden.
All the best Jan
Oh, such beautiful roses, and as for those acers....sighs. I am loving the leaves too, especially walking in them, you can't beat kicking leaves down a road! Brings out the child in us all.xxx
ReplyDeleteIt certainly does. I kick leaves with smallest Grandson. Takes me back to being a child with my Mum and Dad. Happy days :)
