  1. I think the birds cope far better in the windy conditions than we do!

    1. Hello Janneke,

It has been so windy here......mothers nature pruning I think. I have debris all around the garden.
I hope the storms do not do too much damage to your garden.

  5. It certainly has been very windy. The branches on our tree have been moving quite a bit and even the pigeons who took it to 'invite' themselves recently ended up balancing precariously ...

Love the picture of the robin

    All the best Jan

    1. Hi Jan

The winds have been gale force at times in the south east. I have lots of debris across the garden and some of the climbers have broken stems. Still worry about that when things calm down :)

    1. I have lost a lot of blossom. Fortunately some trees are a little late, so hopefully these gale force winds will go :) It is so damaging to a garden at this time of year, and most unusually in this part of the world............

  10. When will this wind ever stop together with heavy rain I cansympathise with the poor Robin. I was pondering over the thought of how many birds nests will have been blown out of the trees. Well we did wish for rain - the saying be careful what you wish for comes to mind - haha!

    1. We had the same conditions here today Elaine,
I have a couple of clematis that have stems broken full of buds :( Oh well.

I have been worried about the birds.....poor things.
Found several bumble bees on the lawn today. Took them into the shed and gave them some honey, they all recovered and a couple of hours later flew off into the garden :)

      Let hope things calm soon...........

  11. Today we had just enough breeze to keep me from fainting in the heat. Our spring didn't last long here. The heat will shrivel any spring blooms that have lasted this long. I have been making fairy gardens. :) I willl have to fill you in later... Hang on to your hat. ;)
