  2. I haven't seen many butterflies yet. Maybe today they will pop out. I have never seen a butterfly like this one. What a gorgeous color.

    1. The holly blue lays its eggs on holly during the Spring and Ivy in the Autumn. I have both host plants in the garden so they visit often :)

  5. What a beautiful blue butterfly! I haven't seen any butterflies here yet, but I did see the first hummingbirds at my feeders on Tuesday, which is always a cause for celebration. Sorry to see all the rain you have had. I can't complain about our weather for once; it's been beautiful other than being warmer than I would like. We seem to have gone straight from winter to summer, which is so typical of Illinois. But everything is bursting into bloom right now--I am in my happy place:)

  6. Blue on blue - so pretty. I actually have seen a couple of early butterflies here, not sure what they were. Maybe they were moths, but no matter, spring has definitely arrived. I do love holly (oh and ivy, and the Christmas carol). Have a nice weekend!
